Saturday the whole family got together for dinner at the San Jacinto Monument Inn restaurant. It was another delicious meal of fried seafood and more fried seafood. We do eat a lot more seafood varieties in Italy, BUT nothing compares to some authentic hushpuppies or fried catfish or shrimp with some crab on the side! It soothes the soul, as does Momo's gumbo.

The San Jacinto Monument is the world's tallest monument tower and honors all those who fought for Texas's independence, which became official April 21, 1836.

On Sunday we all parted ways. I drove to Cuero with the boys, Evan drove back to Alabama, and Momo finally got her house back after visitors for a week!
