Snow Day

The morning of January 4, 2013, it snowed here in San Angelo.  My little Italian man, Eli, was in awe.  He reminds me of the Italian men who strolled all over with their hands behind their backs.  The snow started late the night before and continued the next morning to give us a good layer.
Ross and Janet were in town.  Janet stayed with the boys while Ross, Evan, and I drove to the Cotton Bowl.  We played with our trains and in the snow before we left that day.

All bundled up.  It was just too much for Porter.

They were leary at first about stepping into the snow, then excited, then see below.

This picture says so much about their personalities.  Eli is amused while Porter is annoyed at something or other.
 My little fearless guy.

It was really cold!  Everyone's hands were freezing. Janet didn't even have gloves on and she still shoveled that snowman.  Teamwork!

This is how we left them when we got in the car on the way to the Cotton Bowl.  In Nana's capable hands.

Wildflower pics April 2013

We went to Cuero for the hospital gala at the end of April.  Steph and Jeff came home too so we decided to try to take wildflower pictures.  We drove to the normal spots that are usually covered in flowers, even our bluebonnet spots, without any luck.  It's a little late in the season and it's been so dry.  We settled for a side country road.  These are my favorites.

Getting both of them to look at the camera and smile=not an easy feat.

 Pensive Porter, always observing.

We tried to get a cousin picture with Bennett and Riley.
 And this happened.
 Porter misses his bumbo days.
