Camp Darby

July 30, 2011

We drove West to Camp Darby this weekend. It is on the coast near Pisa. The U.S. has an army base with ample lodging for families--camping, cabins, or motel room/apartments. We drove down Friday night and made a weekend of it. The base is near the beach where we occupy a little spot of sand.

Saturday morning after breakfast and a nap, we drove down to the beach for the day. We love the beach and all the relaxing that comes with it. The boys ate a lot of sand.
The water was a perfect temperature.
Our beach buddy Eli.
Porter trying to tell us how big he is.
After a long day of swimming, napping, playing, and lots of sand, we drove along the beach front to find some dinner. Here are our beach bums--t-i-r-e-d."Where are your toes?" Killing some time waiting on our food.
Evan had pasta with octopus, mussels, calamari, and shrimp.I had delicious pear ravioli. Our first Camp Darby experience was a good one. The beach was perfect!
