Profumi & Sapori 2010

October 1-October 3, 2010
This week we have just been recovering from having Gram around and an extra set of hands. Eli has been really responsive this week to our facial expressions and smiling a lot in response to our silly antics. It's been a lot of fun watching his little personality emerge.

We also started infant massage this week with our friend Heather. She had Daegen 3 days after Porter and Eli were born, so we saw a lot of each other at doctor's appointments and birthing classes. She lives in Sacile and works on base as a civilian Speech Therapist. She has to teach 5 parents infant massage for certification points and we live down the street from her--2 birds with one stone. 4 sessions total and Evan and I are on our way to learning infant massage, which studies have shown can increase weight, induce better sleep habits, and give mommy/daddy and baby better communication skills.

Whew! We had a busy afternoon of playtime on our tummies! Eli and Porter conked out on the mat which is pretty unusual for them.
This weekend was the Profumi and Sapori festival in Sacile. Tastes and smells--our favorite because it's all food and wine and food and wine and more food. Eli is getting ready.
The boys did a great job at being out and about late at night around the center. Porter was snoozing during our dinner, second dinner by the way, so Eli got some Daddy time.
Sunday was a lazy day around the house and lots of practice rolling over. They are both doing really good lately at holding their heads up and looking around at their new world each day. Porter is on his way over. He rolled over from his tummy to his back for the first time on September 27th.
Really thinkin' about it.
And there he goes, he made it to his back.
Eli is just hanging out with mom. Man, that belly sure looks full, and that double chin, sorry Eli, you get that from Mommy too!
Alrighty! Back out again to the festival in our hoodies.
This gentleman was making some cheese. We were inquiring about how he does it and he let us try some from underneath the cheesecloth.
Evan with his taster.
And now on the way home. Porter woke up. How I love that little face!
Until next year Profumi and Sapori!
