Card Carrying Members.

November 27, 2009

After walking around and securing our reservation for a haunted tour that night, we found the greatest way to spend a few hours. The Scotch Whisky Experience. It sounds a little cheesy but just go with it. It starts off with a little ride in a whisky barrel to see how the whisky is made.

Then we went into a room to learn more about the 5 areas of Scotland where single malt whisky is distilled. Each container had concentrated versions of the smells of the different types of whisky.

Next we were shown a room with a collection of over 3,084 bottles of whisky. A private collector donated it to the Experience because he knew it would be taken care of and enjoyed.
Featured below is for Grandpa--your favorite Scotch to wet your whistle.
My personally labeled bottles.
Golf bag-type bottles full of the local drink.
The entire chess set=one full bottle of whisky.
Another wall of whisky.
Full glasses ready for tasting.

Empty glasses. Rosier cheeks and bigger smiles.
When all was said and done, the Epsteins are now card carrying members of The Scotch Whisky Appreciation Society--if anyone is interested.
